No, I never noticed that. (i am using a CVS version, a few weeks old).

I am using one room for artefact weapons & armour, one for alchemy stuff,
one as a library for my notes and recipes, one as a treasure room,
and one for quest items, and I never noticed that something got lost.

I once made the mistake of trying out a Biren's mist in my appartment,
and the mist is still there :( .
Has anybody an idea how I can get rid of the mist ?
