Printer Color Calibration

I'm curious if anyone has heard of a good way for calibrating the color
on printers using Ghostscript..  I once tried making a calibration image
based of a black-and-white image used for finding the right
gamma-correction for monitors, but my printer was way off the scale..

Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated..
