RE: [TCLUG:5552] Sad News - "Vent"



I live in Champlin, MN and have a MediaOne one-way cable modem.  I usually
get 700 Kbps downloads, but it has gone as high as 1.7 Mbps.  My upload
leaves a little room for improvement though.  I only get 28.8 up, but it's
rated at 33.6.  I think it has something to do with my crappy Sprint
telephone lines.  It kills me to think that three houses down they have
USWEST service

So you've got bi-directional cable modems?  Where is this again?  I
thought they only had them d/l here and u/l was through a modem.
