Hey everybody,

Head over to CNN and this little ditty:

It specifically mentions US Worst as being one of the telcos that will be
providing this (standardized!!) form of DSL later this year. Modems will be
cheaper and be able to be purchased 'off-the-shelf'. Sounds like good news for
bandwidth hungry home users (like most of us). Prices will start at a level
comparable to current DSL, but will drop. And the big bonus--no tech visits
necessary! All they have to do (supposedly) is flip a switch. It'll have its
limitations and drawbacks but it might be good for cheapskates like me. 

The sooner the better. Dialup just sucks. :(
