FromDOS?

I'm looking for a script (in Perl, probably) to convert DOS text (CRLF)
into UNIX text (LF?)..

anyone have one?

Also, I have been playing with gvim (pretty nice, I must say), but the
backspace key doesn't want to play nice..  I have backspace working
everywhere else, though..  GRR!
