I'm self-taught across the board (and I don't just mean scripting - "real"
languages like C, too). I buy a good book, read it, use it, fiddle with the
language.
I have been sent to a week of classes in MS-SQL Server. Forgot it all in
record time since a) I didn't have to work for the information and b)
(probably more significant) it's not information that I was using at the time
(or ever).
