Uhm, I installed RH 5.2 from the standard boot floppy and a CD-ROM drive
controlled by an Adaptec AHA-2930 (aic7880 chip) with no problems. I've
also used the CD-ROM drive many times on this system from Linux with no
problems at all.

Does this bug mostly apply to SCSI hard drives?
