redhat 5.2's sndconfig autodetects fine (or claims to), but I don't hear
the test sound. This used to work fine. Also now I can't play wav's via
the play command. I'm thinking it is a kernel lever problem since I
haven't used 2.2.1 before (nor this exact configuration. This is an AWE32,
which every sound thing compiled as a module. proc/modules reveals:

[root@pclueyb rpm]# cat /proc/modules
ide-cd 20796 1 (autoclean)
cdrom 11584 0 (autoclean) [ide-cd]
autofs 8776 1 (autoclean)

sb 30852 1
uart401 5628 1 [sb]
sound 55184 0 [awe_wave sb uart401]
soundlow 240 0 [sound]
soundcore 2192 7 [sb sound]

Anyone got any ideas? (Audio cd's play fine)

Thanks,

Ben
