Thanks to all who suggested the network monitoring tools for diagnosing
our dropped packets problems. Our sysadmin was impressed with them. I've
been running mtr and pathchar periodically. I plan to investigate nocol
soon. At the very least we'll be able to confirm that it's not *our*
problem. :-)
