Kernel debugging (yay..)
I've set up a gateway for my family's cable modem, but it keeps crashing. I
have couple of ideas why it could be happening (the most likely suspects
including a possibly bad Mobo, Ethernet card, or memory)
I'm putting some of the info that gets put onto the screen down below.. It
looks to me like it has something to do with paging/swapping. I had actually
disabled swapping, because I was worried there was a bad sector in the swap
partition or something like that..
The kernel is the patched RedHat 2.2.5 kernel (rpm is something like
linux-2.2.5-22)
Some miscellaneous characters like colons and braces might be missing.. oh
well..

Right now, the system is an AMD x5-133 (about P75 speed) with a 3C905B and an
NE2000 clone as the two Ethernet interfaces (the 3com is on the internal
network, and the ne2000 is connected by a crossover cable to the cable modem.)
The system has 16MB of memory.
I'm also thinking of putting a custom 2.2.10 kernel on there, but only if I feel
like it..
If anyone has other ideas, I'd appreciate hearing them.
Thanks,
