According to ZDNet
[http://www5.zdnet.com/products/content/cshp/1708/cshp0112.html], the Creative
Graphics Blaster 3D uses a Cirrus Logic 'Laguna' chipset. (Boy, Creative's
naming conventions seem weird.. They have at least 4 varieties of 3D Blaster
cards, plus a Graphics Blaster and a Graphics Blaster 3D.. Such confusing
names..)

Searching through Cirrus' site, it looks like your card has a CL-GD5462,
CL-GD5464, or a CL-GD5465 chipset in it. All of those are supported by XFree86
3.3.3.1 in the SVGA server.

You may want to look at http://www.xfree86.org/3.3.3.1/cirrus.html for more info
on how to set up the card.

My guess would be that you may have not correctly set up the timings for your
monitor. The card may be trying to do something wacky like run video at 72 Hz
on a display that can only run at 60 Hz..
