I've broken GNOME's dock. When I start it as root, all is well, so I haven't corrupted any binaries. When I login as chris, GNOME doesn't show any dock at the bottom of the screen. There's just a gray area. I have to su and do a shutdown to log out. I'm sure there's a better way to fix this than re-installing linux, right? Chris Schumann <whizkid@dwave.net>
