Need some SSH advice....

I'm going to set up ssh on my gateway, and I'm trying to figure out which 
one to download.  The versions range from 1.2.13 to 2.0.12, and I would 
like to get a stable, relatively bug-free version.  Do the versions differ 
much?  Can anyone tell me what versions they use, and which they recommend?
