Well, I personally prefer 2.0.12, but there are some licensing issues on
that version that can be nasty for businesses. The most widely used
version is probably 1.2.26, which works quite well. First install 1.2.26;
you'll need it either way (2.0.12 uses a different version of the
protocol.. for backwards compatibility to 1.2.x clients, you'll need to
have 1.2.26 installed before you install 2.0.12.. 2.0.12's configure
script will detect 1.2.26 and enable backwards compatibility.) Then, go
grab 2.0.12, and read the license. If you're ok under the license, install
it. Otherwise, just stick with 1.2.26; it works fine. (Sorry 'bout the
horrible grammar; I'm fried. Still grumbling about missing the
installfest, of course..)
