I run both Windows and Linux here and I have actually done direct comparison
between bladeenc and Xing(AudioCatalyst).

The Xing (windows version) is way faster than bladeenc but at high (>220)
bitrates bladeenc pulls ahead by a very small margine.

The speed difference is huge though so for me, that little bit of quality
just isn't worth waiting 4 times as long for.

I'd try the Xing. Hope this helps.
