RE: [TCLUG:8080] Lotus Notes ported to Linux

Running VMWare ultimately defeats the purpose of running an alternative
operating system - heck, VMWare isn't even like WINE, an alternative win32
subsystem.

I've got a long history with OS/2, and IBM's dependence on marketing OS/2
for its Windows 3.1 capabilities was a major factor in dooming it. Why write
anything for OS/2? It runs Windows just fine! As soon as people have to
advocate running an emulator/tech-o-the-week, the battle is lost. You lose
all the advantages of Linux once you start running your essential apps thru
a Windows VM - which the exception of not having to reboot your workstation,
just having to restart the vm every now and then.
