Java debugger for Linux?

Are there any standalone java debugger for linux? I have used VisualAge, but
the beta buggy and breaks after 50 classes.

I am looking for something like gdb, and jdb is NOT good enough.

I still to prefer to program using vim, make and jdk, they only thing an IDE
does for is gives me a good debugger.

Anything out there?
