using the debian potato installation for a 2.2 kernel, the smbmount
command changed to "smbmount-2.2.x". I have a series of mount points
in my home directory under "mnt". To use the command to mount an
smbservice, I type:

	$ smbmount-2.2.x //server/service -U me -c "mount
		/home/me/mnt/service"

If it's a hidden service:

	$ smbmount-2.2.x //server/service\$ -U me -c "mount
		/home/me/mnt/service"

I get prompted for the password, which I type in and violla!

Later!
