Backup Question

I have a 20g Travan tape drive on my new Linux box, and also have a copy of 
BRU v15.1. This system
will be used to backup data from other servers on the network.

I'm wondering if I should use BRU or some other utility as the backup solution.

I would appreciate any comments as to this product or alternatives.
