Re: [TCLUG:16382] USWest offers IDSL

Mighty high is darned right...

	BRI (2B+D)	PRI (23B+D)	CT-1
McLeod	$60 $900 $600
US-West $60 $1800 $1200

Not to mention ISDN customers are nothing like analog dial-ups. Most of
them are businesses, so it's difficult to over sell them very much
because you have max capacity from 9-5 when the businesses are all
checking their e-mail, but the lines are dead after 6pm. That's why
personal ISDN dial-up is about the same price as 56k, but business ISDN
is priced through the roof.

With iDSL the ISP has to be running routed PPP, which is good and bad in
some ways. It's bad because I have to buy IOS 12.0(T) or better to even
do it, and reconfig the whole thing. Some customers like bridging
better because it's so much easier to setup and troubleshoot.

I have the pricing points from my rep if anyone is interested off-list.
I haven't checked yet, but I can probably loop qual you too.
