Rythms uses the Cisco 675 Router.  Northpoint uses the Coppermountain DSLAM
and a corresponding router (typically Netopia or 3COM).  You can use Phoenix
networks with either company though.  Are you sure you are using
Phoenix/Rythms and not Phoenix/Northpoint?

BTW with Phoenix/Northpoint you will get the 3COM SDSL Router (versus the
Cisco 675 ADSL Router).  The 3COM will run in bridged mode - which could be
a problem for you in the future (i.e. Netbios floods).
