Is your domain registered?  If Road Runner gave you that host name, then
they should have registered it in DNS.

*** mail.cs.umn.edu can't find apu.mn.rr.com: Non-existent host/domain

sorry [~] > nslookup apu.mn.rr.com dns1.rr.com
Server:  dns1.rr.com
Address:  24.30.200.3

*** dns1.rr.com can't find apu.mn.rr.com: Non-existent host/domain

As you can see, RR doesn't even know that your domain exists.
