this would be a cool comparison

redhat 6.1 -- win2k
base defaults.. workstation
things to compare

number of applcations (packages)
number of lines of code
number of developers

I really don't buy the "untested" thing, because if you look at the gnome
project, it's really not any less tested than win2k.. (puts up flame
shield)
