  Your gonna want to us RHL with Oracle.  That currently is the only
Oracle supported distribution of Linux.  Im sure you could get Oracle to
run on another distribution, but why work so hard.  Also, for Oracle 
will want to run with as much memory and disks as you can affort, with
minimum of 512 meg and 2 or 3 scsi disks(9 gig).  Also, for your cpu's, get
the latest Intel with the most cache you can get.  For servers, you will want
to run your db server on a seperate machine from your webserver.
