Does Kaffe support Java2?  I've been using jdk1.2.2-rc2 frmo Sun and it's
working pretty well for a JVM, jikes is the best compiler though.  At least as
soon as they fix the bugs.

Why don't you use it for Applets?  It has MUCH better performance than AWT.
