Nope, here's what you should do, to set up for xf86config:

Don't look at the card database.  It usually doesn't work.  The next
screen should ask you which server to run.  Choose #3, the XF86_SVGA
server.  Enter in 8192 for your video memory.  Don't choose a Clockchip.

Change the modes for 8/16/24-bit color, and remove all of them.  The set
up the mode for 32-bit color at whatever resolution you want it at.  Make
sure you set up your monitor correctly.
