Bad clocks

My computer will automatically time-sync with an external system when it
boots (For whatever reason, the calculations for figuring out the
correct timezone seem to be screwed up on my system, so the time is
always off by a certain number of hours after I boot).  If you have a
static Net connection, you can do that too..  

Also, you may want to check if the battery is just dead..  It's usually
an easy thing to replace.
