Re: [TCLUG:18602] Cheep reliable dialup

I've actually been very happy with Real-Time's service. it's not the
cheapest ($25/mo for dial-up); but the more I see of other ISPs, the
happier I am with it.
great problem reponse (never been more than 4 hours between
reporting a problem and getting at least some word back about it
--even on a sunday!), great customer service, and excellent quality of
service (never busy signals, good news server [visi's], no DNS
problems, and they warn you about potential problems [power rewiring,
spam-filtering changes, server switchovers]) (I'm guessing most of
their customers are commercial [correct me if I'm wrong, Bob], and
offline when us ordinary mortals want to use the Net).
I got my parents an account at mninter.net; and I can't say
there's anything badly wrong with it (they use newsguy.com's news
server, a point in their favor); but I wasn't very happy with
responsiveness/speed of their Net connection on a sunday afternoon...
probably overloaded with users.

just MHO; YMMV. take it all with a grain of salt.
