Please send me these diffs, I'll integrate them.
And how do you find the output to be unuseful? If you are trying to look
at modem connections, try using the -q flag. It was mostly developped
snooping ISDN connections, and I realized that async logs tended to
require interpretation of the HDLC ESCAPE character (0x7d), this is what
-q does.
Also part of the same problem, async logs trickle in byte by byte whereas
the utility works better if a whole packet comes in at a time. I've
been meaning to work on that too.
