(ASCEND) PacBell, SPIDs, ISPs and Pipelines, oh my!

Evidently, our ISDN line is on an older DMS-100 switch that doesn't like
aaannnnnnn0101, so we were able to loop back with aaannnnnnn00. But, we
still couldn't connect to the ISP. A helpful PacBell rep finally announced
(the ISP didn't even know this) that because we were eventually going
through an SS7 switch and our prefixes weren't the same (me 362, ISP 357) -
we had to add 1 415 to the dial# string - this with a local call!

Voila, it worked! I just hope my pain can help someone else in the future. :)
