I have a similar problem with my users running Windows NT on a laptop that connects to a DHCP spoofing Pipeline 75 at home and to a DHCP enabled network in the office. When a user connects to a Pipeline they get given an IP address using DHCP correctly UNTIL they bring their laptop into the office and then take it home again. After getting a different IP address from the office DHCP server when they take the machine home, the Pipeline 75 (5.1Ap4) refuses to grant a new IP lease to the laptop. I have no experiance of pre-5.1 code to know if this is new or long standing behaviour. I was about to double check my configuration settings to see if it was my mistake, but perhaps I better call tech support and log a fault... philip ross Xerox Research Centre Europe. > -----Original Message----- > From: MMedwid@symantec.com [SMTP:MMedwid@symantec.com] > Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 1997 1:34 AM > To: ascend-users@bungi.com > Subject: (ASCEND) DHCP Spoofing/P75 Address Robbing > > I sent the following message to one of our VIPs in response to a > problem he was having bringing his laptop computer home from the > office.
