Thanks I am starting to realise my confusion about subnetting. Yes, my home addresses overlapped the office addresses. That's why things went wrong. An easy way out (without reassining all the office PC's) was to change my home network. New situation: Home PC --------> Home pipe --->/\/--> office pipe ------> NTserver 208.205.254.154 208.205.254.153 208.205.255.41 | 208.205.255.40 | -> Office PC's 208.205.255.44 --- 75 Maybe not efficient use of address space but that's not important for a closed net. Now I can ping the NT server. However Win'95 still complains about the fact that it can't find a server to validate my password. I will not bother you with this problem because I think it is a Windows problem. Thanks for your support.
