A nice touch some lists have added is to have an additional,
posting-only subscription list. That let's oddball cases still work
with a minimum of fuss and bother. For instance, one subscription at
a site but 5 or 10 people read it and post to it. Those that want to
post just subscribe to the posting-only list and things buzz along as
before (minus the spam, of course). There are things you can do instead
(require the list address to be in the To/Cc line, etc., etc.) but,
IMHO, they create more mysterious failure modes than requiring an
addres to be subscribed in order to post.
