Because many people do not subscribe using the address from which they
send (myself, for example, my subscribtion address is an alias which
sends the messages into a different mailbox) and others don't need more
than the ability to lurk, there is a trend of requiring posters to
subscribe to another mailing list having the name <listname>-post in
order to be able to post.
