(ASCEND) P75 CallerID issues
Well, its taken some trial and error but I've narrowed down the problem I'm
having.
Symptom: After 1 ring, phone stops ringing, both ends are hung up.
Cause: Devices listening for CallerID are causing phone to "hang up".
So far, my dumb CIDCO caller ID box works fine. However, two different DSS
dishes when told to use CallerID will cause this problem (they will display
CID data on the TV when enabled).
It would appear the ascend is too sensitive and thinks the line is being
picked up for some devices.
Anyone else found this issue?
