(ASCEND) Stepping into 8.0.X

I'm going to step into the 8.0.1 realm tonight but I have a quick question, I
upgraded one of my boxes already this evening just to play with the new features.

*(thank god for the grep command)* :)

However, I notice the box running 8.0.1 seems quite sluggish, (Latency wise) I'm
curious as it if any of you running 8.0.X have experienced any issues that may
lead back to code bloat? Also any other issues I may be stepping into?
