(ASCEND) TNT Port Redirection

Hello,

we want to use the port redirection feature of the Ascend TNT. So we
defined the following RADIUS Check-Items:

Ascend-Port-Redir-Protocol=Ascend-Proto-TCP,
Ascend-Port-Redir-Portnum=80,
Ascend-Port-Redir-Server=10.0.0.2

Thias is working fine, the Ascend TNT has the IP-address 10.0.0.1, which
means the TNT is in the same subnet as the proxy-cache.

But now we wanted to change the Redir-Server to 192.168.1.1, which is
not in the same subnet as the Ascend TNT.

We thougt, that the redirection feature just changes the destination
IP-address in the IP-pakets and then the pakets are processed normally
through the routing table. But it seemes that this is wrong. The
redirection feature does not work, if the Redir-Server is in another
subnet than the Ascend TNT. Is this just a fact, we have to accept? Or
are there other solutions?

IP-connectivity between TNT and proxy-cache 192.168.1.1 is functionally,
of course. ;-)

Oliver.
