(ASCEND) Radius IP Pool without radipad

Hi all,

I'm trying to assign IPs dynamically from radius, i use ascend radius
version 1.16 1998/18/06, along with a MAX TNT running Software version 7.2.0.

I have been trying to configure MAX specific IP address pools in radius 
according to http://www.michael.phatcatz.net/radius/routbrdg.htm and
for test purposes i've been using 'radpwtst' (a perl utility that emulates
NAS behaviour, it comes with Radiator) but i've never seen my radius server 
sending back the 'Framed-IP-Address' field to my client emulator, which kind
of worries me since i do see it's sent when the user is assigned a static IP 
address (thru 'users' file) using the same client emulator.

Questions:

	- Do i have to *actually* use my MAX TNT to get the IP i want/need
	  dynamically? this would not work with NAS emulators?

	- Does anyone have this radius-based *ONE* IP-Pool solution working 
	  without radipad? if so, would you have any tips? urls?
