RE: (ASCEND) MAX6000 and 10/100 Ethernet?
Mike,
The MAX 6K is notorious for having problems autonegotiating half/full
duplex. Set the switch for half or full duplex (but not auto!), force a port
reset on the MAX (either reset or change a parameter) and you should be
fine.
Also, make sure that you use the dongle that came with your 6000 otherwise,
your chances of failure are even higher.
Gosh, I wish there was a parameter to force the speed and duplex settings
(instead of always auto/auto, which doesn't quite always work)...
