Your Rage LT Pro isn't supported by X. There are patches to the driver,
including binary versions:
http://www.math.umn.edu/~peter/packages/5.2/RPMS/XFree86-Mach64-3.3.3.1-2.i386.rpm
Is one, it supports XGA for the Rage LT Pro (a laptop-friendly version of
the RagePRO).
