I have a plextor 4/2/20 CDRW with adaptec 2940UW; worked really good under
linux for a several months. win95 would never recognize the drive as any
thing more then a cdr drive. not a problem under linux at all though.
The other night I burned a cd and when xcdroast auto-ejected
it the tray wouldn't close. Called plextor and they said the sled motor
was bad and gave me an RMA # since I've only had it since May. I received
a replacement in about 1 wk. No hassles from the vendor, no problems with
new drive so far. Overall I'd still recommend the plextor.
