MySQL-3.22.25-1 RPM hangs on install

Anyone ever have the offical MySQL-3.22.25 rpm hang on installation?

# rpm -ihv MySQL-3.22.25-1.i386.rpm 
MySQL                       ##################################################
Creating db table
Creating host table
Creating user table
Creating func table
Creating tables_priv table
Creating columns_priv table

Just sits there. This is a dual 550Mhz box, so it cannot take that long. :-)
top says the process is taking no CPU time.
