Same here - they are sometimes entertaining, and have on rare occasion
been useful. /. itself is a great place, though.

Ah, they swiped that from one of the best anti-MS sites ever. It was
www.micros0ft.com (that's a zero for you people with weird fonts). Called
themself Zero-Micro Software, and claimed to be writing CPU-doubler
software. Had a LOT of amusing Bill Gates stuff. 

Microsoft got the InterNIC to pull their domain name for copyright
violations. They were zero.micro.com for a while, then they were on
paranoia.com... which also got shut down. Oh well... the legacy lives on!
