RE: [TCLUG:7834] List of Printers



I can't stand slow jet printers myself, so I ended up spending $479 for a
LaserJet 2100 from ubid.com (said it was a refurb, but it had never been
turned on as near as I could tell).  I got the PostScript2 DIMM for $130 and
it works just fine.  1200x1200 dpi and the first page out in 17 seconds.
After that its however fast the thing can suck the paper through.  I love it
:-)

Look into a package called Appsfilter

If the printer is listed in that, you should be good to go.

Otherwise if you spend the extra cash and get a Postscript
compatable printer your rump should be pretty well covered
