Debian 2.2 (Potato)?

Does anybody know when Debian 2.2 will be released?  I understand that they
don't like to give dates, and thus they will not officially give a release
date, but I am looking for the unofficial word.  Debian 2.1 is from last
March and it is still on the 2.0.x kernel.  I can not install it because my
system will not but the basic kernel because of one of the options they
chose.
