lsof requires that you have the correct System.map file for the kernel being
used.  did you update your system.map file when you compiled in the new
kernel?  it can be found in /usr/src/linux after a compiliation.  try this
out.  i'm not sure if it does/doesnt work with 2.2.x though, as i am still
using 2.0.36, at least until i can find time to upgrade.  anyway, give this a
shot.
