AlphaWorks JVM vs Blackdowns JVM for linux

Anyone have any expirences they would like to share with the LUG about
AlphaWorks JVM vs the Blackdown JVM?

I have been using the Blackdown JVM since "day 1". It's slow, but fairly
stable. I cannot get native threads working and the setup for the whole thing
is messy.

Anyone played with AlphaWorks JVM?
