Sure,

What you need is a vanilla boot for DOS.  Just any old dos boot disk 
should do the trick.

When DOS is up, run the 3C5X9CFG program, and wade through
the menus to configure your card --it will make you choose between cards
if it detects  multiple 3com 3c5x9 type cards...

Just turn off pnp, and set your IRQ and I/O addresses to whatever you like
and away you go....

I can use the DOS utility to configure it in Linux?  Sorry if this seems a
stupid question, I'm just starting with Linux.
