we have it at our house, it works well.. 

exceptions:
the USR cable modem has a crappy CPU.. large ammounts of outgoing traffic
lag it badly.
their customer service people are DUMB
their techs are ok.. ours installer was a newbie linux user..

mention linux, don't mention home networks.

ip_masq works flawlessly, as does DHCP
