tclug irc server - freeze on ident

Hi,

I'm new to the list, and I hate to start with an obvious question, but....

I've tried connecting to the tclug irc server with several machines and
clients, but the connection always freezes on 'checking ident'

The ident server(s) is (are) enabled, what is going on?
